Professor Ulrich Limmer is a producer and screenwriter. Since 2014, he has been Executive Professor of the Department of Production and Media Management. After positions as a producer at Bavaria Film and managing director of Kinowelt Filmproduktion, he founded collina filmproduktion in 2002.
For Rennschwein Rudi Rüssel and Sams in Gefahr, he was awarded the Bavarian Film Prize in each case and for Das Sams he was awarded the German Film Prize. Helmut Dietl’s Schtonk, of which he was a co-author and managing producer, was awarded several German film prizes. The film received a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination. Other films in his filmography include Der Räuber Hotzenplotz, Das Ende ist mein Anfang and Nebel im August.
